Pastor - Scot Wall

Pastor Scot Wall attended Colorado Christian University and Dallas Theological Seminary. Before moving to Magnolia to start Magnolia Bible Church, he was the Chaplain and Bible Department Chair at First Baptist Academy in Dallas where he was also football, basketball and golf coach. Previous to that time, Scot was on staff with Campus Crusade for Christ where he traveled with world-renowned evangelist/illusionist Andre Kole. Scot's background in understanding how people are deceived has fueled his desire to help people avoid being deceived spiritually as well as emotionally and financially through sound Bible teaching. Scot has been married to Darcy since 1994 and they have two children, Marissa (born 1998) and Caleb (born 2000).

 

Tim Blackford

Tim was born and raised in Oklahoma and married his high school sweetheart Kristi in 1981. They have 3 children (Sarah, Kari and Trevor), one grandchild (Michaela), and began attending MBC shortly after moving to Magnolia in 2004. He is a 1982 graduate of Oklahoma State University and is a Staff Fire & Process Safety Engineer with Chevron. Tim was raised in the Baptist church, but he and Kristi have been attending non-denominational churches since 1986. Tim's previous church leadership experience includes 6 1/2 years as Deacon/Chair at Crossroads Bible Church in the Lewisville, TX area and 1 1/2 years as Elder at Grace Community Bible Church in Richmond, TX. Tim is also a member of the MBC Worship Team, and he and Kristi lead/host one of MBC's Community Life Groups.

David White

David has been in the Magnolia area since 1983 and at Magnolia Bible Church since 2003 and has been in leadership since October of 2004. David has a passion for learning God's word and seeing others learn it as well. He currently is an elder and is also in charge of Sunday morning adult Bible study, Thursday night Men's Bible study and also Friday morning Men's Fellowship Breakfast. He is married to Shirley and they have two grown children who are married and they have two grandchildren.

The Elders of Magnolia Bible Church oversee all functions and finances of the church.  Every decision should be the Lord's will, discovered through Scripture and united prayer ( I Timothy 3:4-5, 5:17; Acts 11:30, 20:28; Hebrews 13:17; I Peter 5:2)

 

Elder's qualifications are enumerated in Scripture as set forth in I Timothy 3: 1-7 and Titus 1:5-9.  The term of office of an elder's service on the Board of Elders shall be for two years.
