Community Life Groups

What is a Community Life Group?

Worship and Praise
Worship takes our focus off of ourselves, our activities and problems, and creates an awareness of God's presence and activity in our lives. Worship focuses on who God is, while praise acknowledges what God is doing in our lives.

Interaction with the Word
If spiritual growth is to occur it must be centered on the Word. The role of the leader is not to teach but to lead a discussion that brings group members face to face with God's truth. The key is not what we are studying, but that we approach God with the anticipation of life change.

Sharing and Prayer
Sharing and prayer if often a natural response as our lives are exposed to the Word. Sharing and prayer will also result from the joys and hurts of our own life experience. As we share we open our lives to one another. As we pray for each other we minister to one another deeply.

Fellowship
Informal and casual fellowship is essential. Getting reacquainted after being apart and catching up on the latest news is necessary to cultivating deeper relationships. Laughing and playing with each other is part of being a family. Fellowship leads us to share in each other's lives beyond the boundaries of our formal meeting times.
